Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama stresses that leaders in the region need to understand the situation in Fiji to be able to accept the changes being brought about by the Interim Government.

Meanwhile, New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark has indicated that she will not meet with Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
Radio New Zealand reports that a spokesperson for Clark has said the Prime Minister does not want to meet Commodore Bainimarama at the forum after Village news reported that he is willing to meet Clark while in Tonga.
It also reports that Bainimarama is expected meet face to face with Australian Foreign Minister Alexandra Downer though who is representing his Prime Minister John Howard at the Forum.
