Fijians look forward to a better 2022 despite COVID-19
Shiraz Ali with his family.

As the new year begins today, many Fijians are planning to take cautionary steps this year after many trials they have had to face because of COVID-19 but they are also hopeful that this year will be different and better than what 2021 was.

They are also hoping that jobs will not be affected and we can all go back to some form of normalcy.

Nausori resident, Shiraz Ali says last year was very challenging and he needs to save money because another wave of COVID-19 has started.

Ali says he lost loved ones last year and it was a difficult financial year.

Lami resident, Andreas Frey says his biggest achievement for 2021 was successfully avoiding COVID-19.
