The Vodafone Fijiana XVs suffered a disappointing 43-7 loss to the Wallaroos in their test match at the HFC Bank Stadium this evening.

Poor defence and handling errors proved too costly for the home side as the Wallaroos capitalised on every opportunity they had to score points despite a good start from the Fijiana.

Fijiana had a strong start with a converted try in the 7th minute to Captain Alfreda Fisher to take an early 7-0 lead before the Wallaroos replied with a converted try to Caitlyn Halse to level the score at 7-all.

The Wallaroos continued their momentum to score three more tries through centre Bienna Terita, who scored two, Captain Siokapesi Palu, and Ashley Masters with two conversions from Faitala Moleka to give the visitors a 31-7 lead at the break.

Layne Morgan started the onslaught for the Wallaroos in the second half with a converted try in the 48th minute to extend the visitors’ lead to 38-7.

A strong maul from a lineout by the Australians saw replacement hooker Tanya Naden scoring the last try in the 66th minute for the visitors for the win.
