Fijiana XVs suffer heavy 59-15 loss to Scotland Women

The Vodafone Fijiana XVs side suffered a huge 59-15 loss to the Scotland Women’s side in their first test match early this morning.

Scotland scored a total of 9 tries to Fiji’s 3 unconverted tries.

Scotland took a comfortable 28-10 lead at halftime after scoring 4 converted tries with Fiji scoring two unconverted tries.

Fiji only managed to score one unconverted try in the second half while Scotland scored a further 31 points to secure the win.

The Fijiana now turns their focus to their next test match against the Netherlands next week before participating in the WXV3 tournament the following week.

Fijiana will take on the Netherlands at 5.30am on Friday.

Meanwhile, in other women’s test matches last night and into this morning, Italy defeated Japan 24-8, England beat New Zealand 24-12 and Ireland defeated Australia 36-10.
