Fijiana 7s secures second win in the Perth 7s after thumping Spain 31-0

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s continues their impressive run in the HSBC Perth 7s after a thumping 31-0 win over Spain in their second pool match.

It was a tight first half for the Fijiana as they managed only one converted try to Reapi Uluinasau in the 4th minute to lead 7-0.

The Fijiana led 7-0 at the break.

The team managed to find their rhythm in the second spell scoring a further 4 tries through Meredani Qoro, Talei Wilson, Ilisapeci Delaiwau and Uluinasau.

The Fijiana converted two of the four tries in the second half for the win.

The win has put Fiji on top of pool C with 6 points ahead of France who have 3 points.

Brazil and Spain are yet to register any points on the table.

Fijiana also thumped Brazil 40-15 in their first pool match and it has earned them top spot currently in their pool with 6 points.

They will now play France at 2.22pm today in their final pool match.

The Women's cup quarter finals will start at 7.26pm tonight, the semi finals will kick off at 4.22pm tomorrow, and the final will be held at 9.13pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men's National 7s side will take on France at 11.31 tonight in their second pool match.
