Fijian Holdings Chairman/CEO resign

Fijian Holdings Limited Chairman Isoa Kaloumaira and FHL Chief Executive Officer Sereana Qoro have resigned.

The Fijian Holdings Board informed the South Pacific Stock Exchange last night that they have accepted the resignations of Kaloumaira and Qoro.

The FHL Board has also elected Iowane Naiveli as Acting Chairman and Nouzab Fareed as Acting CEO.

We have tried to contact the Kaloumaira and Qoro however we have been unsuccessful.

Fijivillage received confirmation earlier this week that the Prime Minister had intervened in relation to certain matters at FHL which included alleged double salary packages and unauthorised entitlements of $155,000 and a company car being authorised for an outgoing Manager.   

Reliable government sources have also confirmed to Fijivillage that the government is carrying out proper assessments on the performance of the people appointed by the government.

This is to ensure that they remain focused and also to address issues relating to corruption, fraud and abuse of office.
