Fiji women’s Para Table Tennis team wins 2nd gold medal at Pacific Games

Congratulations to the Fiji women’s Para Table Tennis team as they have secured Fiji’s second gold medal in the 2023 Pacific Games.

The team made up of Mere Roden, Akanisi Latu and Laniana Serukalou defeated Solomon Islands 4-1 to win the gold medal.

Fiji is currently in 13th place in the overall Pacific Games medal tally with 2 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.

New Caledonia still leads the table with 22 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 21 gold, 13 silver and 6 bronze.

Meanwhile the Fiji Women's Table Tennis team beat New Caledonia in the semi final this morning. They are currently playing Tahiti in the final.

The men’s table tennis team will play PNG in the bronze medal playoff later today.
