The Nadi Weather Office advises people to take all the necessary precautions as Fiji will feel the effects of Tropical Cyclone Lusi as it approaches closer to the group.
Director Alipate Waqaicelua confirmed that the centre of Tropical Cyclone Lusi is still located over the Northern parts of Vanuatu.
He said Cyclone Lusi is located about 1,200 kilometres West North West of Nadi and is slow moving.
Waqaicelua said it is still a Category 1 and is intensifying.
It is expected to be upgraded to Category 2 cyclone tomorrow but is still expected to be closer to Vanuatu.
He said heavy rain is expected to affect the group from tomorrow.
Waqaicelua said people will also start experiencing strong winds from tomorrow.
He added that they are keeping a close watch on the system as they have seen forecast tracks change in the past.
