Fiji still leads World Sevens Series points standing

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team still leads the World Sevens Series points standing after the Vancouver 7s.

Fiji lost to Australia 19-12 in the third place playoff and earned 15 points.

Fiji leads with 106 points, South Africa is in second place with 105 points, New Zealand is third with 104 points while Australia is in fourth place with 90 points.

New Zealand won the Inaugural Vancouver 7s title defeating South Africa 19-14.

In the other finals in Vancouver, Samoa won the Plate final after they beat USA 31-19, Canada beat France 19-17 in the Bowl final while Russia won the Shield final after defeating Portugal 17-10.

Meanwhile, Kitione Taliga won the DHL Player of the Tournament in Vancouver.

The next leg will be in Hong Kong and Singapore on the first and second week of next month.

The Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 8th to the 10th of next month while the Inaugural Singapore 7s will be held from the 16th to the 17th of next month.
