The Fiji Women's Football side has made history at the Pacific Games 2023 by qualifying for the gold medal final for the first time after beating New Caledonia 3-0 this afternoon.

The Fiji Kulas led 1-0 at halftime after Ema Mereia scored a goal in the 26th minute.

The Kulas scored two more goals through Cema Nasau in the 50th minute and Vanisha Kumar in the 67th minute.

The win has set them up for a final showdown with PNG who secured a dominant 5-1 win over Samoa earlier today.

Fiji will play PNG in the Women's gold medal final at 8pm Friday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men's football side will play Solomon Islands at 4pm tomorrow in the first semi final.
