Fiji Volleyball Federation postponed local and international tournaments due to COVID-19 pandemic

The Fiji Volleyball Federation has postponed all local and international tournaments until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This has been confirmed by President Liga Gukisuva who says this includes their annual Easter Volleyball competition that is scheduled for the 10th and 11th of this month.

Gukisuva says the postponement is in relation to the Prime Minister and the Ministry for Health’s COVID-19 announcement and adds that they will abide by the laws and regulations and will make a further announcement on when competition commences in due time.

The President says COVID-19 is a serious disease that has claimed lives and it is only logical to postpone all tournaments to keep the players, supporters and the Fiji volleyball community safe during this time of crisis.
