Fiji Men’s 7s takes motivation from online criticisms

Online criticism is one of the huge motivating factors for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side after the HSBC Hong Kong 7s and they used that in the Singapore that helped boost their morale resulting in their triumph.

Going into the Los Angeles 7s for the Championship Final next month, squad member Sakiusa Siqila says they will take those criticisms as learning curves for them and hope to prove their critics wrong in LA.

Siqila says their goal and standards have been all the same throughout the season.

He says another thing that motivates them is the whole reason why they are in the team and why they are doing this job, and also the families that have been supporting them throughout this whole season.

When asked about his thoughts on their pool in the LA 7s, Siqila says it will be tough, especially coming up against Spain, Australia and New Zealand, but they cannot wait to go into the tournament.

The Los Angeles 7s will be held from the 3rd to the 4th of next month.
