The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side succumbed to their 4th straight loss of the HSBC Los Angeles 7s after losing 31-19 to Great Britain in the 7th place playoff this morning.

This is the first time Fiji has ever been winless in a tournament.

Great Britain took every opportunity that came their way to score as many points as they could against a helpless Fiji 7s side, who tried to make a comeback in the second spell but was too late.

Fiji trailed 26-7 at the break after Great Britain scored four tries and three conversions with Fiji only scoring 1 converted try to Joji Nasova.

Great Britain scored another unconverted try in the 11th minute through Sunni Jardine while Fiji scored two more tries to Terio Veilawa and Isikeli Basiyalo in the 14th and 15th minute respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Men’s semi finals, Spain will take on Argentina at 8.24am today and South Africa will take on New Zealand at 8.46am.

In the Women’s semi finals, Australia will play Canada at 7.40am and New Zealand will play the USA at 8.02am.
