Fiji Men’s 7s move up to second place in points table after 4th place finish in Perth

Despite their fourth-place finish at the HSBC Perth 7s over the weekend, the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s team have climbed up to second place in the overall points table with 44 points.

Fiji beat South Africa who was in second place coming into the tournament in the quarter finals but unfortunately suffered two losses on the third day of the tournament to Australia and Ireland respectively.

Argentina continues to lead the table and has set the pace with 58 points after their victory in Perth on Sunday.

Australia is now in 3rd place and is locked with Fiji on 44 points while South Africa moves to 4th place with 42 points.

Meanwhile, Fiji is in Pool A at the upcoming Vancouver 7s alongside Argentina, Spain and Canada.

The Vancouver 7s will be held from the 23rd - 25th of next month.
