Fiji FA discussing with players on what they can do to get their fitness level up without getting in contact with other players
Association President, Rajesh Patel

The Fiji Football Association says their coaches and Technical Director are meeting all the District Managers and advising players what they need to do to get their fitness level up without getting in contact with other players.

Association President, Rajesh Patel says players can do their own strength and conditioning so they can be ready when contact sports begins.

He says they have already submitted their protocols to allow for the resumption of contact sports to the Health Ministry.

Patel says they are currently in the amber stage and will probably get the green light when 80% of the target population are fully vaccinated.

The Association President says all players are fully vaccinated.

He says more than 3,000 players’ vaccination cards have been submitted to the Health Ministry for verification and they have not received any indication of there being any fake cards.

Patel adds they will be looking at resuming the Digicel Premier League and the Digicel Women’s Super League but they cannot give confirmation on any tournament now as the season will be short.
