Fiji Cancer Society to set up psycho-social support services for newly diagnosed patients

The Fiji Cancer Society is planning to set up psycho-social support services for newly diagnosed patients.

This was revealed by Fiji Cancer Society’s CEO, Belinda Chan while receiving a cheque of $25,000 this morning from Janty Kanvan Limited.

Chan says the support services will ensure that all the newly diagnosed patients have information required in regards to the types of cancer.

She says the money received today will go towards supporting their patients through the provision of transport, medication, and overseas evacuation.

Chan says it will take some time to have this set up and this will be based in their Suva Office.

Janty Kanvan Limited Operations Manager, Jigar Khatri handed over the cheque and the company had collected the money by selling pink colored CD’s and papers.
