The Vodafone Fiji 7s team still leads the World Sevens Series points standing after the Singapore 7s.

The national side maintain their lead with 147 points, South Africa is in second place with 139 points, New Zealand is third with 135 points while Australia is in fourth place with 115 points.

Fiji lost 30-7 to Kenya in the Cup final last night and earned 19 points as runners up.

Jerry Tuwai scored Fiji’s lone try in the second half after they were down 20-0 at the break.

Fiji struggled to find their rhythm and Kenya outclassed us in the game.

Kenya scored 6 tries in the match to claim their first Cup final win.

Coach Ben Ryan says the Kenyans contested the kickoffs brilliantly and Fiji did not react to it.

He says the Kenyans countered every breakdown and Fiji was squeezed and suffocated.

In other results, South Africa beat Argentina 28-0 to win the third place playoff, Samoa won the Plate final after they beat New Zealand 26-21, Scotland beat USA 14-10 in the Bowl final while Russia won the Shield final after defeating Wales 24-7.
