The Fiji Performing Rights Association has confirmed that families of late composers will receive goodwill payments from users of Fijian music overseas.

FPRA Director Eremasi Tamanisau Jnr says they are happy and respectful to the Japan Defence Force and the US Navy Defence Force for recognizing the rights of our Fijian composers.

Japan Defence Force has paid $26,542.29(FJD) for the song called Noqui Tau that was composed by the late Isimeli Loga and Eremodo Tuni and also the song called Bula Maleya that was originally composed by the late Isireli Racule.

$8,276.72 was also paid by the US Navy Defence Force for the song called Ono na Maile that was composed by the late Isireli Racule.

FPRA is a non-profit organization that was established to administer the performing rights of local composer and songwriter members.
