FRU to hold separate 7s competition for Fiji, Australia and New Zealand 7s teams

The Fiji Rugby Union confirms it will be holding a separate 7s tournament this month where two Fiji 7s teams will compete against the Australian and the New Zealand 7s teams following the World 7s Series format.

This is for both men’s and women’s teams.

FRU CEO John O'Connor says the Australian and New Zealand 7s teams will train in Fiji from the 14th of this month and will compete against the Fijian teams on the 18th and 19th in Lautoka.

The Fiji Men’s and Women’s 7s teams are currently preparing for the Singapore and Canada 7s tournaments next month.
