FIRCA Explores Ways For Assistance
The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority (FIRCA) is exploring ways to try and assist business owners in the worst flood affected areas in Nadi and Ba to recover from the extensive damages sustained when flood waters entered the two towns.

Business owners and the Chamber of Commerce in Nadi and Ba have pleaded to interim government officials to consider some tax breaks and other incentives which would lessen the financial burdens on them as they start rebuilding.

FIRCA CEO Jitoko Tikolevu said they have not received anything from government but are internally exploring how they could assist these businesses.

He said details will be revealed in the next few days.
