Exploration works on hold till corrective measures taken
Exploration works at the proposed Namosi Copper Mine site will not resume until the company, Namosi Joint Venture (NJV), implements some corrective measures at the site.

Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Colonel Pio Tikoduadua said the Prime Minister met with Namosi Joint Venture or NJV and the landowners yesterday, and it has been agreed that NJV has to carry out the necessary rehabilitation work emanating from the prospecting.

Colonel Tikoduadua said the government will meet with NJV tomorrow and clearly specify the corrective measures that the company needs to carry out.
