Emergency rations will be flown in and sent by sea to Cikobia today to help those affected by Hurricane Daman.
Interim Provincial Development Minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau said from an aerial survey done yesterday morning, one could easily see that three of the four villages on Cikobia bore the full brunt of Daman, hence the sending of rations today.
At least 20 houses on Cikobia Island were badly damaged by Hurricane Daman on Friday night and early Saturday morning as Hurricane Daman passed over the tiny island.
Meanwhile Daman is now downgraded to a Tropical Depression and is located near the Central Lau Group and moving East South East.
