The Ministry of Education has begun training for its support staffs in a bid to improve delivery of services for this year.

The Ministry says Learning and Development Unit was instrumental in training the first cohort in inducting the support staff in the Suva Education District and at the Head Quarters.

The Ministry says this induction included the Ministry's drivers, cleaners and messengers.

They say the induction program highlighted the civil service code of conduct, values, performance assessment, discipline guidelines, policies, and procedures, and self-care.

The Ministry further says the support staff must be well versed in the regulations, code of conduct, and responsibilities of civil servants and adds similar training will be conducted in the next few weeks for support staff from the other education districts.
