Easter is a time for people to reflect on their journey through the struggles of COVID-19 and a light of hope for a better future.

This is the message from the General Secretary for the Methodist Church in Fiji Reverend Ilaisa Naivalu who says they are thankful to be celebrating this holy week in their churches since this did not happen last year because of the COVID-19 restrictions.

Rev. Naivalu says today signifies a true expression of God’s love who sent his son to take away the sins of the world.

He says the Easter message is also a beacon of hope to those Fijians who have been severely affected by the recent cyclones and a reminder that God is with them through thick and thin.

He adds that it is also a good time for people to reflect on their lives and they must turn away from their evil ways and put aside the differences they have for one another.
