It will be an exciting new era for rugby sevens this weekend as the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS Series is set to kick off with the first tournament to be held in Dubai.

The Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s and Women’s 7s teams are ready to take on the world in the 3-day tournament which begins on Saturday night.

The Men’s side will be facing tough challenges in pool C as they will be coming up against the USA, Great Britain and France which surely is dubbed as the pool of death.

The Women’s side is in Pool A alongside South Africa, Great Britain and New Zealand.

The Men’s team will be out to prove a point after failing to win any tournament last year and they will want to kick start this season on a high note.

The Men’s team will take on USA at 6.06pm Saturday, they will then play France at 9.52pm Saturday before playing Great Britain at 4am Sunday in their final pool match.

The cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm Sunday and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.
