The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s are out of contention for the Cup Final after they were thumped 31-10 by Australia in the second semifinal.

The Fijiana will now play for third place against Japan at 2.35am tomorrow.

They seemed shaky from the start and just could not get out of the starting blocks.

Silika Qalo and Adi Vani Buleki scored for Fiji while Bienne Terita, Tia Hinds, Kaitlin Shave and Maddison Levi with a double scored for Australia.

Australia led 12-5 at halftime.

The Fijiana beat the USA 19-7 in their first pool game, they then defeated France 28-19 before going down 31-12 to New Zealand in their last pool game.

The Women's Cup Final is at 3.35am tomorrow.

In other games, the Black Ferns 7s beat Japan 31-5 in the first Cup semifinal.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s will play New Zealand at 10.28 tonight.

The Men's Cup final is set for 4.11am tomorrow.
