Drug testing may be introduced during the Extra Fiji Secondary School Football Football Championship 2025 as the Association is reinforcing its commitment to a drug-free tournament.

Association President Aminesh Ram stressed that the competition — which includes Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and girls’ divisions — is for students, and drugs have no place in football.

He says they strongly believe drugs and football do not go together.

Ram says this tournament is for students, and they want to ensure the game is played in the right spirit.

The Association President confirms that discussions are ongoing with the Fiji Football Association regarding the possible introduction of drug testing during the tournament.

The Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship 2025 will be played in Ba from next Wednesday to Saturday across six grounds, with 104 matches scheduled.
