Despite losing 34-21 to the Melbourne Rebels, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s side will meet Western Force at home in the Super Rugby Women’s semi final.

The Drua Women's execution was not on par this week as they committed a lot of mistakes, and handling errors cost them the game.

The Drua started strong with a converted try to fullback Atelaite Buna to give the visitors a 7-0 lead, but the Rebels responded with a converted penalty from Cassie Siataga and a try from Chanelle Kohika-Skipper.

The Drua rallied back in the dying minutes of the first half, and Vika Matarugu crossed over the try line to give the Drua a 14-13 lead at the break.

The Rebels came back firing in the second half, with Ashley Masters crossing over the try line in the 44th minute, and Jiowana Sauto’s try in the 53rd minute moved the hosts further away from the Drua.

Masters scored her second try in the second half.

Buna hit back and scored her second try in the 70th minute.

In another match today, the Force beat the Brumbies 38-36.

The Drua will host the Force in the semi finals at 4.35pm Friday at HFC Stadium in Suva while the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Men will take on the Hurricanes at 7.05pm Friday at the same venue.
