Drua Women hoping to make history and bring first Super Rugby knockout game to Fiji

The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s team departed our shores this morning for Melbourne where they are hoping to make history in their round 5 Super Rugby Women’s game against the Rebels tomorrow night.

A win against the Rebels will confirm a home semifinal for the Drua this year and a first-ever Super Rugby knockout game to be held in Fiji.

This would mean that the Drua Women will play before the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua team next week against the Hurricanes.

The Drua Women have won 3 out of their 4 games this season while the Rebels are still winless.

The Drua also remains undefeated against the Rebels in their last two encounters.

The Mosese Rauluni coached side last played the Rebels in the 2023 season, winning 39-12 and before that, thrashed them 66-5 in the 2022 season.

The Drua play the Rebels in Melbourne at 7.05pm tomorrow.

In other games, the Waratahs face the Reds at 7.05 tonight while the Brumbies take on the Western Force at 4.35pm tomorrow.
