Police say the 60-year-old driver of the vehicle that hit and killed an 8-year-old girl will be brought in for questioning after the post mortem is conducted.
The 8-old-girl passed away after battling for her life at the Lautoka hospital for almost two weeks.
The girl was walking along the road with an 18‑year‑old when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle on the 12th of this month.
The 18-year-old woman who is from Namada village also sustained injuries and was discharged on Saturday.
The road death toll currently stands at 47 compared to 44 for the same period last year.
