A 72-year-old doctor was found dead in his surgery in Nasivi Street in Tavua last night.
Police say the victim’s wife reported the matter after making the discovery.
The couple was separated and over the past few weeks she had made several attempts to contact the victim.
Last night the victim’s surgery was forcefully opened when the discovery was made.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death as investigations continue.
