The Fiji Pearls netball team received a timely boast ahead of the Tri Series Plus One Championship after Digicel Fiji today signed a new sponsorship with Netball Fiji worth $30,000.
Digicel Fiji Commercial Director Andrew Skelton said they are delighted to sponsor netball for the first time.
He said this sponsorship includes $15,000 cash with $15,000 worth of SIM cards and credit for players, training tee-shirts for the Pearls and the Fiji A side, and other support that Netball Fiji needs to host in the week-long tournament.
Fiji Pearls coach Julie Hoornweg said this is really important as many players have scarified a lot for the team.
The Fiji Pearls will host Papua New Guinea and Northern Ireland in the Digicel Tri Series Plus One Championship which will start on Monday at the Vodafone Arena.
