It was a day of celebration for the students of the Fiji School of the Blind in Vatuwaqa as they celebrated Diwali with the staff of Digicel Fiji, featuring a special celebration that included traditional Indian cuisine, sweets and gifts.

Digicel Pacific Hub Markets Chief Executive Officer, Steve Long expressed how honoured the company is to share the spirit of Diwali, a festival symbolising light, hope, and new beginnings, with the children.

He says they are deeply committed to fostering inclusivity and supporting the communities they serve.

Long says celebrating Diwali with the students reflects their ongoing dedication to making a positive social impact.

He adds that this festival is a reminder of the importance of giving back, and they are proud to be part of creating joyful and lasting memories for these incredible students.

This year's Diwali celebration builds on Digicel Fiji's ongoing community engagement initiatives, including recent grants supporting sustainable development projects across Fiji.

The students and staff of the Fiji School of the Blind expressed heartfelt gratitude for Digicel Fiji’s generosity and thoughtfulness, describing the event as a special occasion that brought light and happiness to their daily lives.

Digicel Fiji continues to strengthen its efforts in building a compassionate and inclusive society, honouring traditions that unite communities.
