Great news for the people of Tavua as they won’t need to go far to get their eyesight checked after a Diabetic Eye Clinic has been established at the Tavua Hospital.

The Ministry of Health says the clinic will enhance the availability of comprehensive eye examinations for diabetic patients and will greatly benefit the people of Tavua with various services available.

The Ministry says the clinic will also offer early detection of complications, specialised care and comprehensive eye exams, education and resources for patients and advocacy for patient rights.

They add that diabetic eye clinics are essential in preventing vision loss and improving the overall quality of life for diabetic patients.

The clinic was established after the contribution of the Lions Club Ba.
