Following the dengue outbreak declaration this week, medical teams in the Western Division have mobilized to contain its spread.
As part of the Dengue Outbreak Response Plan, 432 houses were inspected, identifying 50 mosquito larvae.
Of the 90 notices issued, 36 were for the presence of mosquito larvae, 38 for overgrown grass and bushes, and 16 for the accumulation of refuse.
Health officials stress the need for community action, as stagnant water and unkempt surroundings fuel mosquito breeding and increase the risk of dengue.
They say awareness campaigns are ongoing, and they are urging residents to use repellents, cover water storage, and maintain cleanliness.
Authorities have issued a warning of enforcement actions for non-compliance, while the Health Ministry assures continued monitoring and response efforts.
