Court issues production order for Shazran Abdul Lateef and Zoe Moore as they fail to appear in court

A production order has been issued by the Suva Magistrates Court for former Suva lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef and Zoe Maharaj Moore after they failed to appear in Suva Magistrates Court today.

Lateef is in remand while Moore was earlier released on bail.

The State has made an application for Lateef and Moore’s charges to be consolidated.

There are six cases against Lateef where all charges relate to possession of illicit drug which include marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine and possession of apparatus alleged to be used for smoking as well as breaching bail conditions.

Moore is charged with Lateef in one case where they are both charged with one count each of being found in possession of 7.89 grams of methamphetamine, one count each of being found in possession of 12.49 grams of cocaine and one count each of being found in possession of 2.5 grams of marijuana.

The case has been adjourned to the 8th of July.
