Couple’s heated dispute sparks concern online

A couple’s heated dispute in public raised alarm among community members and had people involved in trying to separate a violent man from his wife who was later seen carrying their child and running after a moving bus.

A video circulating online showed the couple finally being dropped off at the Namaka Police Station.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa says the officers took the couple in for questioning where the woman explained that their argument was about a family matter and chose not to file a complaint or pursue the issue further.

SSP Vaisewa says officers reminded the couple to resolve their differences peacefully for the well-being of their child and family.
