Couple pleads guilty to meth possession

A couple arrested for methamphetamine possession in Samabula’s Howell Road has pleaded guilty to the charges.

37-year-old Kinijoji Tuivonovono and 36-year-old Joanna Kosaituva appeared before Magistrate Yogesh Prasad this afternoon.

Tuivonovono was found with 0.448 grams of methamphetamine while Kosaituva had 0.099 grams.

Tuivonovono's bail application was denied while Kosaituva was granted bail.

Both have pleaded not guilty to charges related to proceeds of crime amounting to $4,554.

The case has been adjourned until April 16th.
