Constitutionality has been a challenge

Constitutionality has been a challenge
Staying as close as possible to constitutionality has been a challenge since January the 8th 2007.

This is the view of Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum at the Attorney General's Conference over the weekend, who said that this has been one of many challenges that the interim government has faced since coming into power.

Sayed Khaiyum went on to criticize those that have gone against the interim government at every turn, saying that they have sought every means at their disposal to push the government outside the constitution.

Without naming names, Sayed Khaiyum said that this group of people appear to have been provoked to do such works by the representatives of state, that claim to be traditional and earnest friends.

The Interim Attorney General said the interim government keeps trying not to stray from the constitution.

In is now almost a year since the military removed the Qarase government from power on December 5th 2006, with the interim government appointed a month later.
