One of the main key areas that the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will be focusing on improving this weekend at the HSBC Singapore 7s is their consistency.

This was highlighted by coach Saiasi Fuli who says they need to communicate well, manage the game and finish strongly.

He says in terms of prioritising their work-ons after the HSBC Hong Kong 7s, these are some of the areas that they need to improve on.

He adds for them, the key moments are those last seconds on the clock that they really lacked concentration on which led to losing possession in crucial moments of a game.

Fuli says restarts was also one of the areas that we lacked on before the Los Angeles 7s and Vancouver 7s and it was really poor, so we had to prioritise making improvements on that.

The Fijiana 7s will open their Singapore 7s campaign against Great Britain at 4.28pm this Friday, then they will take on Brazil at 9.43pm on Friday in their second match and play Australia at 4.50pm on Saturday in their last pool match. The Women’s quarter-finals will start at 8.27pm Saturday, the semi-finals will begin at 5.02pm Sunday, and the Final will be held at 9.41pm Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s side will play the USA at 5.14pm this Friday in their first pool match before facing Great Britain at 10.30pm Friday. They will meet Ireland at 5.37pm on Saturday in their final pool match. The Cup quarter-finals will start at 11pm on Saturday, the semi-finals will start at 5.48pm on Sunday and the final will kick off at 10.21pm on Sunday.
