The copyright holder of one of the biggest Bollywood movies for this year is expected to approach the Police Force today to strictly enforce the Copyright Decree and take the pirate DVD outlets to task.
SPR Managing Director Ravindra Patel says the movie “Bodyguard” which was just released a few days ago is already being sold by the pirate outlets.
Patel said action needs to be taken against the outlets as they continue to break the law.
Patel also said they are aware of the source of the pirated copy.
Police spokesperson Theresa Ralogaivau said rights holders and members of the public should contact the Police if they notice any breach of the copyright laws.
She also said they are currently investigating three DVD outlets.
