Complaints on late school buses

Complaints on late school buses
The Land Transport Authority is dealing with some complaints from members of the public and teachers that some school buses mainly in Suva are dropping off students late in the morning.

This sometimes causes classes to start late as buses arrive at schools close to 9am.

LTA Chief Executive Officer Naisa Tuinaceva has warned that tough action will be taken if bus drivers and operators continue with this behavior.

Tuinaceva said that last week they received some complaints which were resolved with relevant stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary for Education, Dr. Brij Lal said that schools that are facing problems with students arriving late need to inform the Education Ministry.
