Commission of Inquiry needs to get to the bottom of it - PM

The Commission of Inquiry needs to get to the bottom of the truth and I have played my part.

Prime Minister and Chair of the Constitutional Offices Commission, Sitiveni Rabuka highlighted this to the media as he was the first witness in the Commission of Inquiry hearing for the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption Commissioner, Barbara Malimali at the Old Parliament Complex.

Rabuka says he expected the inquiry to be tough while the questions were asked from his affidavit.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Graham Leung who was also present in the sitting says he won't be required to give evidence until Friday.

Leung says it's an independent process.

The two-week COI will now hear from all 34 witnesses.

Supervisor of Elections, Ana Mataiciwa will be the next witness.
