Church dispute in Tavualailai yet to be resolved

Church dispute in Tavualailai yet to be resolved
Reverend James Bhagwan.

Serious concerns are being raised on why the dispute between the Methodist Church of Fiji congregation of Tavualailai and the Vakabula Vanua Church is yet to be resolved.

There are also worrying signs that some of the Methodist Church members in the area had buried skulls and had built a monument outside the church.

The whole idea behind the burying of the skulls is unclear.

Fijivillage has asked the question why this was done but no answers have been provided as yet.

The Methodist Church Minister for the Tavua Division has now been given the instruction to go back and find a way to reconcile with the community and bring a peaceful closure to the situation after the destruction of the church monument at the village of Tavualailai.

This has been revealed by Methodist Church of Fiji Secretary of Communications Reverend James Bhagwan to Fijivillage this afternoon.

It was alleged that members of the Vakabula Vanua Church which is also known as the Healing the Land Ministry International had gone into partnership with the Tui Tavua, Ratu Nacanieli Uqeuqe to destroy a monument outside the Methodist church at the village.

Ratu Naca claims that the monument at the church has demonic influence and needed to be destroyed.
