Children are our leaders of tomorrow therefore we must help them today.
These are the words of donor, Morgam Reddy of Waila, Nausori who said children are our investments and will lead Fiji therefore education is of the utmost importance.
Emotional Nasoso, Nadi resident Chandar Bhan Singh said they were affected by the floods however they feel that others need more help and so they have donated what they can.
Singh added a dollar can make a lot of difference.
Andy Chand of Tamavua said one good turn deserves another adding that this is a very crucial time as children affected by the floods need all the help they can get.
Another person donating, who wished to remain anonymous said seeing the devastation for himself urged him to help the children affected.
The Get the Children Back to School Appeal has now raised over $75,000.
Organized by Communications Fiji Limited's radio stations, Legend FM, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com, the flood appeal will continue today to 6pm.
Right now our teams at Mid City Complex Digicel Office Cumming St Suva, Post Fiji Post Shop in Suva, RB Centre Point, Nausori Opposite the Busstand next to Rups and from our office 231 Waimanu Rd Suva, in Sigatoka at Sigatoka Electric Limited there is a sealed box where you can give your donations, in Nadi at Macdonalds until 2pm, in Lautoka at Jolly Good until 2pm, at the Ba Total Service Station until 1pm and up North in Labasa Hotel Takia Arcade and in Central Town Savusavu.
The money raised will be given to Save The Children Fiji to help children get back to school. The money will be used to provide bus fares, lunches as well as other school items. You can also deposit your donations to the CFL Appeal Account at Westpac, account number 9800-935-794.
If you do intend to donate then please do not wait for the last minute.
