Children with drugs need to go to rehab centres, not jail
Children caught with drugs should be sent to rehabilitation centres, not punished harshly, and there is a need to make the children realise that there’s no place for drugs in schools.

Drasa Primary School teacher, Keshni Prasad made these comments at the Education Act 1966 consultations in Lautoka, and she says that every child deserves a second chance.

Prasad says the yellow ribbon program symbolises forgiveness and new beginnings that can be offered to children as an opportunity to turn their lives around.

She further says they must also help them realise the harsh truth that drugs can destroy their future.



Prasad adds that so much is being done to address climate change and it's also in the curriculum but the question remains on what’s happening to the increasing drug situation.
