The Political Forum came to an end in the last hour with the outcomes and the decisions reached expected to be made public later this evening.
While opening the meeting earlier today, Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama called on the political parties to accept that the electoral system needs to change and the People's Charter is the way forward.
Bainimarama has told political leaders who vigorously discredit the People's Charter, to put all of the negativity behind them and realize that majority of the people support the Charter.
The Interim Prime Minister also told political leaders that it is crucial that they agree on a new electoral system, that is not race based, that is unifying, that will make politicians develop genuine national policies that will make politicians more accountable and that will give Fiji citizens the right to choose their representatives without communal restrictions.
