The new visiting hours for all wards at the CWM Hospital is now from 2pm to 3pm from Monday to Sunday effective from today due to the current measles outbreak declared in Serua and Namosi subdivision.
A statement by the Health Ministry says only one visitor will be allowed to visit each patient during the stated visiting hour.
It says this is being done to ensure the safety of the public, the patients that come to the hospital, those that are admitted and to ensure the staff have very minimal chances for spreading the disease.
Restrictions to visiting the intensive care unit for children and adults and the designated Measles Isolation wards will be in place.
