The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Mick Byrne was happy with the performance of the team after their 48-38 win over Western Force in their final 2023 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific pre-season game last night.

Byrne says the boys played according to what was expected of them and improved from their last pre-season game against Melbourne Rebels.

He says it was hard for the boys to stay focused on the task while playing a pre-season game away from Fiji but they did very well.

Byrne further says even though it was just a practice game, the boys lived up to the expectations and they now turn their focus to their first game of the season against Moana Pasifika in Auckland next week.

The Drua and Moana Pasifika game will kick-off at 3.35pm next Saturday.

The first game of the Super Rugby season will kick off next Friday with Crusaders taking on Chiefs in Christchurch at 6:05pm.
