Bulikula’s RLWC spot hope hanging on a thread after 16-12 loss to Fetu Samoa

The Vodafone Fiji Bulikula’s hope of securing a spot in next year’s Women’s Rugby League World Cup 2025 is hanging on a thread after falling to a 16-12 defeat to the Fetu Samoa in the Final of the Pacific Women’s Rugby League Bowl Championship this afternoon.

The Bulikula will have to go through promotion-relegation matches now if they want to secure a spot.

Meanwhile, Fetu Samoa has booked a spot in the women's Rugby League World Cup 2025 and has also given them a promotion to the Cup Championship next year.

Samoa took an early lead with an unconverted try in the 19th minute before the Bulikula came back and scored two quick converted tries in the 31st and 36th minute through Sienna Laing and Abigayle Sekitoga respectively.

Bulikula led 12-4 at halftime.

Samoa’s Annetta Nu'uausala scored two converted tries in the 57th and 77th minute that stole the win for them.
